humble shell

On the weekend, the weather was nice, so I took my kids to the beach to pick up shells.

The child carried the small bucket and jumped around. There are more scallops on this beach. The colors of scallops are beautiful, including red, purple, yellow, and white, and they are very conspicuous in the sun. My daughter picked up a bunch of them in a short time, and they were all in various colors. It looks good, but there are no surprises, because it is everywhere.

Suddenly, my daughter found a round shell on the beach. It was gray and white in color and very cute. She happily picked it up and showed it to me. This round scallop is different from the scallop in both shape and color, which can bring a little surprise to people.

After picking up the first round scallop, my daughter almost turned a blind eye to the scallop. Seeing the bright scallop shells, she did not stop moving forward, but said to herself that there were too many scallops.

I glanced at my daughter's small bucket. The gray round shells were among the scallops, but they didn't actually stand out because the color was not as bright as the scallops. In terms of appearance, scallops are more beautiful. However, this humble round shell can bring joy to children.

Picking up shellfish on the beach is always rare. What makes people smile is not finding bright and beautiful shells, but finding what we consider precious. This principle is very inspiring.

We are busy and searching, but perhaps what is really important is not how dazzling a halo we get, as long as we achieve what we think is meaningful, that is enough...
