[Compiled and published by New Sancai] Some time ago, I took my children to a park near a mountain and saw a pigeon cage set up halfway up the mountain, where a group of white pigeons lived. The second time we went there, we brought bird food to feed the pigeons.

At first, only one pigeon came close. We dropped some food and the pigeons deftly ate it. After a while, another pigeon came over, waiting for us to scatter food. Slowly, there were more and more pigeons, until a group came and gathered around our feet.

Every time we scatter food and watch the pigeons peck at it seriously, we feel a sense of joy. We helped the pigeons, and the pigeons trusted us and waited patiently beside us.

Suddenly I thought of the pictures on TV. Pigeons are in close contact with people, and sometimes they land on people's palms or shoulders. So, I also want to try, if I put food in the palm of my hand, will the pigeons come up to eat it?

I grabbed a handful of birdseed, squatted down, and stretched out my palms. A pigeon tentatively moved forward, approaching step by step. Every time it took a step closer, it would stop and observe for a while. It can be seen that the pigeon is very cautious and is overcoming its fear little by little. Seeing that I was motionless, the pigeon seemed to relax and continue moving forward.

The moment the little pigeon stood next to my hand, I was a little nervous. I didn't know if it would hurt my hand if it pecked from my hand. I even wanted to pull my hand back. However, I knew that if I suddenly withdrew my hand, it would scare the pigeon and it would fly away. So, I held on. The little pigeon is approaching step by step, which requires courage. It also takes courage for me to keep my hands still.

The pigeon pecked gently from my hand with skillful movements. It only pecked at the food but not at my hand. Being in such close contact with pigeons, trusting each other, and living in harmony makes people feel warm. Of course, trust means risk and fear, because we need to let our guard down. However, when we overcome the fear of that moment, there may be unexpected gains...
