Little peacock blocking the road

[New Sancai Compilation and First Release] I went to the zoo on the weekend and encountered an interesting thing.

The zoo is relatively large, occupying an entire mountain and equipped with walkways and driveways. Visitors who want to exercise can walk the entire route, and those who want to drive can use the driveway. We took our children along the sidewalk and looked at the small animals in the gardens on both sides of the road. Occasionally we could overlook the driveway below.

Driving in the zoo can be a challenge for drivers because there are often small animals on the road. Of course, most of the time, small animals will take the initiative to avoid cars when they see them, but this time we saw a little peacock who was not afraid of cars.

The baby peacock is only about the size of a fist. It was following its mother, but it was curious about the things around it, looked around, and fell behind. The mother peacock has walked to the roadside, but the baby peacock is still standing stupidly in the middle of the road. The driver carefully drove the car closer, probably hoping that the little peacock would leave on its own, but it just stood there and looked at the car with no intention of leaving, and no look of fear.

The driver braked and stopped for a while, but still did not see the peacock leave. In the end, the driver had no choice but to get out of the car and gently gestured to the little peacock, telling it to give way. What’s funny is that when the little peacock saw the driver, he lost interest in the car and started staring at the driver. No matter what gestures the driver made, the little peacock just refused to leave. There was a sense of stupidity in the cuteness.

Some tourists saw the little peacock and thought it was funny and laughed out loud. The driver also laughed, stepped forward and gave the little peacock a gentle push, letting it join its mother on the side of the road. Just like that, pushed by the driver, the little peacock reluctantly left the middle of the road and walked slowly to the side of the road.

Speaking of which, this little peacock is very brave. When we see a car approaching, we instinctively avoid it. But the peacock baby is so small that he is not afraid when he sees a big car approaching or when someone approaches him. Probably because living in a zoo, where tourists are friendly to small animals and pose no threat, the little peacock has no awareness of avoiding danger. After all, "the ignorant are fearless". If you know less, you will not be timid.

Saying goodbye to the little peacock, we moved on and saw more bigger and braver animals, but none of them were as impressive as the little peacock standing in the middle of the road blocking cars. This is probably because the silly courage of the little peacock touched a certain string deep in our hearts, reminding us of the distant childhood when everyone was so simple and fearless...
