[Compiled and published by New Sancai] A new scientific study in Italy has found that the blood stains on the Shroud of Turin are consistent with the descriptions of the torture and crucifixion of Jesus Christ in the Gospels.

Giulio Fanti, a professor of mechanical and thermal measurements at the University of Padua in Italy, said macro and micro analysis of the bloodstains on the Shroud accurately reflected "the physical conditions associated with Jesus Christ."

Fanti also found that the wounds were "consistent with descriptions of Jesus Christ in the Bible, particularly in the four Gospels."

Fanti and several other scientific investigations confirmed that the Shroud contained evidence of real people, with blood and other bodily excretions.

Fanti said the investigation showed the cloth was used on someone with a blood wound and was not forged using ink, dye, paint or other techniques.

The 14-foot by 4-foot Shroud of Turin bears an image of the body and face of a man wearing a plant "crown of thorns" and covered in blood.

Many Christians believe that the Shroud is the true burial cloth of Jesus, and believers venerate it as a holy relic of Christ's crucifixion.

The study also reportedly found material typical of ancient Jerusalem, suggesting the Shroud may have originated in the region rather than Europe, where many skeptics believe it is a medieval forgery.

The Shroud is now kept in the Church of the Holy Shroud in Turin, Italy.

New research released in July, "New insights into blood evidence from the Turin Shroud consistent with the torture of Jesus Christ," noted that the presence of creatinine particles and ferritin, often a byproduct of muscle contraction, "confirms that at a microscopic level , HST (Holy Shroud of Turin) The very severe torture Jesus suffered."

"The numerous blood stains scattered throughout HST's double body image suggest that HST's Jesus was tortured," the study said.

"The bloodstains all over the body were consistent with whippings before the crucifixion, the bloodstains on the head were consistent with the 'crown' of thorns, the bloodstains on the hands and feet were consistent with the crucifixion, and the bloodstains on the body were consistent with the crucifixion." There was evidence of post-mortem wounds on the chest, consistent with the Bible The description of the spear wound received by Christ after his death corresponds to this.

On August 22, the New York Post reported that artificial intelligence created an image of Jesus Christ’s face based on the marks on the Shroud.

According to reports, the Italian Institute of Crystallography recently said that a dating process involving wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) helped determine the age of the Shroud, a relic that appears to be consistently over 2,000 years old.

The Catholic Church has never made a formal ruling on the Shroud's authenticity, saying determinations of its age and origins are a matter of scientific investigation.
