On the way home from get off work, I met a drunk girl. She was very drunk, her legs seemed to be weak, and she fell twice in three steps, so she had to rely on her friends on both sides to keep her upright.
I looked at that girl and felt pitiful. She occasionally broke free from the support of her friends and wanted to walk by herself, but she fell to the ground as soon as she reached the middle of the road. She fell so hard that I heard a bang from so far away, but she was still laughing, as if she didn't know the pain.
Two friends stepped forward to help her up, and she smiled and walked forward tremblingly, telling her friends what happened. Her voice sounded sober, but she spoke incoherent drunken words, saying "attention" for a while, and "go home" for a while.
Watching this girl walk away with the help of a friend, I thought a lot. Drunk people are pathetic mainly because they have completely lost themselves. They do all kinds of funny things, but they don't know funny things. Obviously I am very confused, but I think I am sober. Obviously the body hurts from the fall, but he can still laugh.
When we look at drunk people, we make judgments. No matter how pitiful or emotional, we all look at them from a superior perspective, because we think we are sober, we can be our own masters, and at least we can live a decent life. However, in fact, many times we are not as conscious as we think.
For example, when we are struggling to pursue the desires in our hearts, when we can't get rid of the obsessions in our hearts, where is our true self? Were you still awake then? Don't many of the decisions you make are also comical and confusing? Do we often rudely push people away even when they are kind enough to help?
This encounter with a drunk girl just reflects how we are at certain times. In life, we can only get better little by little if we reflect on ourselves from time to time and look for our own foolishness...
