[New Sancai First Release] During this year's Dragon Boat Festival, I went to a place called "Dachi" in a local town to watch the dragon boat race.
The competition is a two-by-two confrontation, that is, only two teams compete at a time, but it is a best-of-three match. Therefore, each team will take turns to compete in the water channel on the left or right, and will also take turns using yellow or green dragon boats to avoid the water channel. Or there may be some differences in dragon boat racing, resulting in unfair results.
Since the weather is sunny but there are many clouds, blocking most of the sunshine, and there are trees in the shade, it will not feel too hot to watch the dragon boats outdoors, but it will be hot for the dragon boat skaters because there is no shade in the lake. Cover up, and although you wear short-sleeved shorts, you need to wear a life vest and paddle hard throughout the whole process, so sweating is inevitable.
However, what touches me most is that although it is only a regional competition, most of the contestants may not have the opportunity to practice. Only a while before the competition they have the opportunity to practice on a real dragon boat and on a real lake, but everyone still They all worked very hard, and whether it was a well-matched fight or a game with obvious differences in strength, it was always exciting and beautiful to watch.
The most touching thing, in addition to the spirit of fighting to the end, I saw many teams that even if they lost, they would happily applaud and congratulate the winning team, and the winning team would not hesitate to compare with the losing team. Signs of approval, as well as mutual salutes and clapping. The teams, who had never met each other before, were destined to compete against each other in the dragon boat race. Regardless of winning or losing, they maintained excellent demeanor and praised and appreciated their opponents' performance. This is really touching and happy.
On the way home, I kept thinking how great it would be if this kind of spirit could be applied to any activities and competitions. Perhaps, there can be fewer disputes between countries, the world can be more peaceful, and people can get along with each other more harmoniously and happily.
I hope this dragon boat spirit can be maintained forever.
