[New Sancai Compilation First Release] Japanese car giant Toyota Motor announced on October 3 that it will no longer participate in the Human Rights Council's corporate equity as more and more companies abandon diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. index.

Toyota also joined a growing number of companies abandoning so-called "woke" policies and said it would "narrow the scope of our community activities to align with STEM education and workforce readiness." Notification of the policy change was issued in a memo sent to 50,000 employees and 1,500 dealers.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck posted on "

Some highlights include:

  • No more participating in Pride parades, Pride events, or LGBTQ kids summer camps.
  • They will not participate in the Corporate Equality Index social credit system launched by @HRC.
  • All BRG activities must focus on Toyota's core business and be open to everyone.

Perhaps the biggest change is the company's announcement that it will no longer participate in the (HRC) Corporate Equity Index Social Credit System. The credit system monitors a company's adherence to correct policies for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees."

"Toyota employees and dealers were notified of these changes via email today. It's important to note that this is a nearly $300 billion company with 381,000 employees. These employees will no longer be subject to this division. influence.”

"Our campaign has been so effective that we are getting some of the largest companies on the planet to change their policies. The landscape of corporate America is rapidly shifting toward sanity and neutrality. We are now the trend, not the anomaly."

Toyota joins a growing list of companies including Ford, Harley-Davidson, Jack Daniel's and Lowe's that have canceled DEI programs.

HRC initially focused its report card, called the Corporate Equality Index, on ensuring that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees do not face discrimination in recruitment and employment.

Just like LGBTQ+ rights in the United States, the requirements that companies need to meet to score high in the annual index expand each year.

HRC said it will deduct 25 points from the scores of companies that publicly withdraw and will continue to rank every Fortune 500 company regardless of whether they choose to participate.
